第一回 前橋国際芸術祭2026の開催テーマ「めぶく。」にあわせて、アーツ前橋の上階にあるミニシアター「前橋シネマハウス」が企画する特集上映会。様々な土地で人は人生のある時期、とても充実した日々を過ごし、光り輝くことがある。たとえ日常のほとんどが厳しく辛くても。そのように日々が輝き「めぶく」姿を捉えた珠玉の映画を、前橋シネマハウス支配人・日沼大樹とアーツ前橋館長・出原均によるセレクションで紹介する。上映作品は『コンパートメントNo.6』（フィンランド／2021年）、『ビッグ・リトル・ファーム 理想の暮らしのつくり方』（アメリカ／2018年）、『オキナワより愛をこめて』（日本／2023年）、『すべての些細な事柄』（フランス／1996年）、『今日からぼくが村の映画館』（ペルー／2022年）など。

A Film Festival Where Everyone ‘Sprouts’, Maebashi Cinema House
In line with the theme of Maebashi’s first art biennale—‘mebuku’ (to sprout)—Maebashi Cinema House, the mini-theater on the top floor of Arts Maebashi, is organizing and hosting a special type of film festival that showcases the fullness and radiance that people may experience at different places and during certain periods of their lives, even when daily life offers only pain and misery. Under the curation of Maebashi Cinema House director Daiki Hinuma and Arts Maebashi director Hitoshi Idehara, a program of exquisite films that capture those everyday moments of brightness and ‘sprouting’ has been assembled, including “Compartment No. 6” (Finland, 2021), “The Biggest Little Farm” (USA, 2018), “From Okinawa with Love” (Japan, 2023), “Every Little Thing” (France, 1996), and “Willaq Pirqa, the Cinema of My Village” (Peru, 2022).
